At the Grammy Awards this past weekend, one notable person was missing by Taylor Swifts side—her boyfriend, football player Travis Kelce. According to sources, the athlete chose to remain focused on his team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce Misses Swifts Grammy Appearance
The football players are currently preparing for Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles. The game is scheduled for February 10, 2025, in New Orleans.

The 35-year-old tight end missed the February 2 awards ceremony because he and his team were set to arrive in New Orleans before his girlfriend appeared on the red carpet in Los Angeles.

Kelce and his team landed at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport at 4 p.m. on February 2 as they prepared for their game at Caesars Superdome.

He admitted hed love to support his girlfriend and see her win awards at the event, but added, “I think Ive got practice on Sunday.”

Jeremy Freeman believed that Swift was praising her boyfriends performance. Freeman claimed she told him, “That was stunning,” but struggled to interpret her next words, suspecting she said, “You stopped the catch-up,” possibly referencing his performance in the game.

The lip reader also believed she offered more praise, saying, “You were sublime. Out of this world. That was great.” Despite Kelces absence from the Grammys, its believed that Swift honored him in a special way. One notable detail about her outfit was a red-jeweled “T” hanging over her thigh.

In her song “Guilty as Sin” from the Grammy-nominated “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift sings, “What if hes written mine on his upper thigh,” seemingly referencing the jewelry on her leg.

The Chiefs-red Vivienne Westwood dress she wore also evoked memories of her fourth studio album “Red,” which she re-released in 2021. Swift did something similar to honor her ex, Joe Alwyn, when they were dating.
